About the Role

As an Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and nurture existing client relationships within the investment management sector. Leveraging your strong sales background, particularly in managing client accounts, you will cultivate and expand our client base. Your deep understanding of investment management and strategy, combined with your ability to articulate the value of our research offerings, will be essential in driving revenue growth for our firm.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute account management strategies to foster client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth within the investment management sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at buy side institutions, including pension funds, wealth managers, insurance companies, and family offices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs through thorough market research, ensuring a proactive approach in meeting client expectations.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our investment research offerings to clients, showcasing how our services can drive revenue growth and enhance investment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the research team to stay updated on the latest insights and developments, ensuring you are equipped to address client inquiries and provide expert advice.
- Negotiate contract renewals and identify upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide input on client-focused promotional materials, campaigns, and events to support account management efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts, preferably within the investment management industry.

  • Strong understanding of investment strategies and research methodologies, with a genuine interest in staying updated on market trends and developments.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets in account management.

  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, adapting to changing priorities and leveraging opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus).
